Gr4v1 - "0"

Blurred outlines of form, unstable transformations of the real, connected / disconnected, annihilated or augmented… Instrumental, these strange compositions — from which the human voice has been erased — sweat a machinic anxiety where industrial weight crosses paths with a viscous ambient and an abstract, dystopian sound design.

Fed by an aesthetics of the threshold, of passage, this EP leaves the listener in an interpretive stasis — "0" is a door: before the signal, before the noise… epicenter of the Zone… physical anomaly… objective coldness, stated as a fact (5 tracks for a first EP)… Absence and presence… a beginning and a collapse…

Nocturnal without being purely narrative — it remains nonetheless clear that Akira, Tetsuo, Blade Runner, Stalker and Neuromancer all inhabit Gr4v1's universe — the 5 tracks offer a texture that is at once organic (bass / drums) and synthetic, hybridization as creative process.
