A self-portrait soaked in vitriol and hefty swigs of bourbon, Myself is ChindiWolf’s debut album. A steppe-wolf’s confession, raw and uncompromising, firmly rooted in the Dark Country and Western Gothic scene.

Each track stands on its own while maintaining a strong stylistic coherence. Myself draws from a wide range of influences, from Jay Munly to Lee Hazlewood (If I Were), with touches of Neo-folk, echoes of Spiritual Front (With the Devil’s Wife), and moments leaning toward Goth Rock, especially on Lost, somewhere between Sisters of Mercy and Ikon.

A disillusioned folk album filled with dark, cynical visions, Myself portrays a misanthropic crooner facing his fate. Songs of chaos, poison, ruins, apocalyptic promises, lust, and loneliness unfold beneath deceptively melodic arrangements. Behind the music lies a collection of bleak and vivid tales, sung by a sinister troubadour.
